The Colmado Part II

So if you’re sitting at home and need some basics you grab a nearby kid and send them to the colmado…..O the things you can get…

a roll of TP, two eggs anyone?…do you want duck, goose, or guinea eggs? how about an energy saving light bulb, matches, a poster board for that school project, maybe some chips to snack on (any and all varieties available), some random veggies to sift through (careful they might be a bit wilted…after all its hot and humid here), a rum bottle filled with gas for the moto or is that honey?…you can also find the real stuff too (wink), a refresco? Will that be 7up, Coca Cola, Fanta, Red Rock, Merengue?

Speaking of merengue…let’s hope they’re playing a good one to sing along to…although better luck it will be a bachata.

Let’s see…some powdered detergent, cloro, a chicle? A piece of advice, a bit of gossip…a round of dominos to finish the trip off.

Your colmado might be a bit more stocked up than mine, but then again it depends on your barrio…one thing is for sure..don’t forget to let the kid keep a peso change for that red bolon (lollipop) on the way out…
