The Colmado Part I

So I’ve always had an artistic side to me that has been reluctant to surface for a long time. Those little talents and desires have been hanging out in the background of my life for fear of not being able to measure up to the great communities of artists already out there.

For those of you who have been following for a little while, you’ve seen a work in progress. Photography has become an outlet, a growing experience, a love. No, I’m not constantly making photographs…more like little spurts here and there. But I want to be able to bring the Dominican Republic to your hands through stories in both word and picture. We serve and work along many and each has a special life story to tell….So with this I introduce to you Euri, and he is standing in front of his dad’s colmado.

The colmado is a life source for the Dominican community providing basics for simple living…there is so much to tell about he colmado, but I’ll leave that for another day…
